Experience:

I am currently teaching Advanced Calculus and Convexity and Optimization, but over the years I also gave courses on Chaotic Dynamical Systems, Applied Functional Analysis, as well as on special topics in Operator Theory and Operator Algebras. I am conducting the Doctoral School in Applied Mathematics at University of Craiova and the research activity of the Centre for Nonlinear Analysis and its Applications. Fifteen students got their Ph.D. under my direction. Since 1985, I am conducting also a teaching problem-solving skills seminar for explorations in heuristics.

Research interest:

  • Convexity
  • Ergodic Theory
  • Dynamical Systems
